The 13th Korean Ambassodor International Open Championships 2025 event will continue from today, Decembebr 1, 2025 through December 5, 2025 at the Nepal Taekwondo Association in Kathmandu.
The event was jointly organized by the South Korean embassy in Nepal and Nepal Taekwondo Association. At the opening remarks Ambassador Tae-young Park mentioned that Taekwondo is the traditional martial art of Korea, has developed into a global sport, uniting individuals from different backgrounds through its core values of discipline, respect, and patience. Ambassador further committed to continued cooperation between Nepal and Korea, particularly in the fields of sports and culture. Taekwondo has been achieving excellent results in the world stage from Nepal.

Ambassador Park also stated that the 2024 Paris Paralympics Ms. Palesha Goverdhan made history by winning a bronze medal and this moment of victory brought great joy and two counties celebrated this achievement as part of our shared sporting heritage.
This championships has expanded into an international event with the participation of four neighboring countries. (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Bhutan) The number of around 1,500 taekwondo athletes competing for 103 gold medals in this year’s South Korean Ambassador open championships.
